Sita, 1989-July 2008

The little guy had cancer, and this afternoon we went to Cheshire Cat, totally against her wishes and her will, to get a blood test. It was the worst possible result, and I came home without her. I'll write more later.

Dear Mugsy,

So sorry for your loss. I went through the same thing and having to walk away without a beloved pet is a memory that will always break my heart. I know your sadness runs deep.

My thoughts are with you.

She was lucky to live with someone who loved her so much. Such a beautiful cat! And she did live a long time for a huntress. It is just never long enough, when it is someone we love.

Mugsy, What a regal face Sita has in this photo. It is with a saddened heart, I wish you well.

Dear Mugsy -
I'm so sorry about Sita's leaving...she's on to other worlds, other lives now. But that's not easy for you. I know from having been through the same loss recently. I hope you'll keep her memory alive by creating a place for her in your writing. She's just beautiful.

Oh Mugsy,
Ouch.
You are and all your non-human friends are in my prayers.

Mugsy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know your heart hurts and your tears flow. In time I pray that you will not mourn because your relationship with Sita ended, but smile because it happened.
Peace and grace,
beth

what beth willis said. it is good to see a literary cat. she probably always lay or stood where the action was.

I did love it that Sita learned to read. She never did discuss it much, but I think she did not want to boast. Such a lovely cat.

What a delight to have her in your life for so long!

Thank you for teaching her not to eat your friends, even if she never tired of making us worry that she would.

Sita,

You live on in the joy of your mistress each day, when she rejoices at the beauty of the morning's first light, when she catches the shrill of a child's scream and laughter on their way to school in the morning, and smells the scent she loves the best. Go with He who created you, knowing Mugsy longingly and mournfully misses you, but expectantly waits to greet you again.
